Legendary NFL linebacker Ray Lewis of the Baltimore Ravens visited the Loyola University Maryland men’s lacrosse team before its practice on Wednesday, May 16, to give a talk prior to the Greyhounds’ NCAA Quarterfinals game and it was a typical monster from Ray. As far as motivational speakers go, Ray has a very long career ahead of him as none other than Tony Robbins could possibly match his enthusiasm.

It might have been that extra inch of inspiration from Lewis that propelled Loyola on Saturday afternoon to advance to next weekend’s NCAA Semifinals for the first time since 1998. Eric Lusby scored five goals and had a career-high seven points, while J.P. Dalton won 17-of-22 faceoffs, as the top-seeded Loyola University Maryland Men’s Lacrosse team defeated the University of Denver, 10-9.
