The Pittsburgh Steelers already have quite a few options at the quarterback position with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields competing for the starting role with Kyle Allen and John Rhys Plumlee adding depth behind them. But that did not stop the team from adding yet another quarterback this week.
According to a report from Aaron Wilson of KPRC, the Pittsburgh Steelers brought in veteran quarterback Ben DiNucci for a workout as the team considers whether or not to sign him to the roster.
“Steelers bring in former Broncos quarterback Ben DiNucci for a workout per a league source,” Wilson said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

DiNucci was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft where he appeared in three games for the Cowboys, starting one of them. However, he found most of his professional success at the XFL level where he led the league in passing during the 2023 season.
Following his strong season at the XFL level, DiNucci was signed by the Denver Broncos and spent the majority of the 2024 season on the team’s practice squad.
We’ll have to see whether or not the Steelers decide to sign him.
