The New England Patriots dynasty has been well-documented in the new Apple docuseries “The Dynasty”. However, two Patriots stars made it publically known on Tuesday that they are not happy about the story being told to the public.

Two-time Pro Bowler Rodney Harrison had a huge impact on the team’s success in the early 2000s, playing for the organization for six seasons and helping the team win two Super Bowl Championships.

Similarly, Devin McCourty helped the Patriots win three Super Bowl Championships, earning two Pro Bowl appearances in his own right while playing the entirety of his 13-year NFL career in New England.

Unfortunately, neither featured all that frequently in the docuseries, instead being overshadowed for the most part by storylines surrounding the likes of Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, and owner Robert Kraft.

Both spoke to Pro Football Talk about the docuseries, expressing their disappointment with how the project turned out.

“It didn’t tell the stories of like me coming and Corey Dillon,” said Harrison. “I interviewed for five or six hours in New York. And all they had of me saying was f*** em all.”

“I felt like I got kind of duped,” said McCourty. “I was like man, this is going to be great. The storytelling and we’re talking about this and talking about that. Everything that we gave to the 20 years that it encompassed. They only hit anything that was negative.  Like hey, we won at a high level and stayed there. I could have left two times but came back. There are reasons why.”

Harrison in particular was also upset with how Belichick was portrayed, which wasn’t always as the great coach that most see him as.

“They act like the last three or four years because the PAtriots struggled that Bill can’t coach. Bill made some mistakes, he wasn’t always the nicest and purest guy. But at the end of the day, he always did what he could to make the team better. He gives guys who are the underdogs an opportunity. Nobody talks about that. I just don’t think he got enough credit.”

Naturally, fans had plenty to say about their complaints on social media.

It’s safe to say that there are certainly a ton of complaints about the docuseries from fans as well…
