The New England Patriots have had a few brutal seasons recently, finishing the 2023 season with one of the worst records in the entire league which ultimately prompted the team to part ways with head coach Bill Belichick and replace him with Jerod Mayo. But one new face on the Patriots roster wants to be a part of the turnaround.
Veteran wide receiver K.J. Osborn signed a one-year deal with the New England Patriots this offseason knowing exactly what the situation was. He knows it’s a team in the middle of a rebuild and he’s aware of the uncertainty at the quarterback position. But he just wants to be here and help however he can.
“It doesn’t happen overnight. I know what I signed up for. It’s going to be a grind, man,” Osborn said according to Chris Mason of MassLive.com. “I want to be a person that helps this organization get back to where it needs to be.”
We’ll have to see what the Patriots do at the quarterback position in the upcoming NFL Draft and how the team is able to perform next season under a first-year head coach.
But it’s pretty clear that Osborn knows what he signed up for.
