Whatever money Skittles is paying Marshawn Lynch has clearly been worth it for all the free publicity that the fruit-flavored pellets have gotten as a result.
Right at the start of the game, the camera “caught” Marshawn Lynch eating some of his favorite candy on the sidelines. Other companies have to pay millions of dollars for a thirty second ad during the Super Bowl. Skittles just has to give Marshawn Lynch a small container of their product to achieve the same result.
Well played, candy brand.
