The Baltimore Ravens are looking to have a strong response after their comeback attempt fell short in the NFL season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs. The reigning MVP and engine of the Ravens offense, Lamar Jackson, looked as good as ever despite the loss, dazzling with both his legs and arm. The Ravens’ comeback attempt was only inches away from being completed, as a last-second touchdown throw was overturned because the receiver’s toe brushed against the back of the end zone.
Unfortunately, it’s currently unclear if Jackson will be available as the team looks to get into the win column for the first time this season. According to Pro Football Talk, Jackson was not on the field during the team’s practice on Monday.
Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh held a press conference Monday, where he touched on players who missed practice without providing any specifics.
“We had a number of guys that weren’t out there — some personal, some physical,” Harbaugh said according to Pro Football Talk. “So, injury report comes out Wednesday afternoon, so you’ll be better advised on that day regarding all those guys.”
It’s still unclear what caused Jackson’s absence, but any prolonged absence would leave the Ravens scrambling in what many believe to be the most competitive division in the league.
