As the Kansas City Chiefs go through their mandatory minicamp this week, it sounds like the team is dealing with a pretty horrible situation that even caused them to cancel their practice on Thursday.
According to a report from Kansas City Chiefs beat writer Adam Teicher of ESPN, the team was forced to postpone their practice on Thursday as a result of a medical emergency that caused a player to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance.
“The Chiefs postponed today’s practice after a medical emergency. One of their players was taken by ambulance to an area hospital and is in stable condition. The Chiefs will practice tomorrow instead,” Teicher said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Obviously, this had to be a pretty terrifying situation for the defending Super Bowl champions if they went as far as to cancel practice on Thursday, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media.

It was not immediately clear which player was involved in the medical emergency or what the emergency was, but it does sound like the situation has stabilized, which is obviously great news.
