The Kansas City Chiefs may have won their second consecutive Super Bowl championship this year, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that the players are happy with the way the team operates or the team’s facilities.
This week, the NFL Players Association released its annual report cards for each NFL team based on reports from players throughout the league, and the Kansas City Chiefs got a pretty horrible rating, ranking No. 31 out of 32 NFL teams, ahead of only the Washington Commanders.
“The Kansas City Chiefs come in second to last place among NFL clubs in this year’s survey. The one bright spot for the team is head coach Andy Reid, who was the highest rated head coach in the NFL. Other than that, the players are frustrated by their workplace offerings, especially after the team’s sustained success in recent years,” the report read.
The Chiefs received “F” grades from players in the categories of training staff, nutritionist/dietician, and locker room while receiving a “D+” in the treatment of families and a “D” in the training room. The highest grade was for the food/cafeteria which received a “C+”, still ranking in the bottom half of teams in the league.
The report offered two pretty glaring issues: the quality of care the players receive in the training room as well as facilities that are in need of repair.
We’ll have to see if the Chiefs make any changes after this horrible report.
