It’s no secret that the Cincinnati Bengals haven’t had the season they were expecting coming out of the offseason. The Bengals’ win over the Dallas Cowboys improved the team to 5-8 on the season to keep their playoff hopes on life support.
Although the Bengals got back in the win column, unfortunately, their misfortune continued off the field, according to one Cincinnati-based reporter.
“While Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was playing Monday Night Football, I have confirmed police were called to his Cincinnati area home for a report of a break-in,” reported Karin Johnson on Tuesday.
Johnson followed up with reports of the call.
“Someone is trying to break into the house right now. My daughter is there. This is Joe Burrow’s house. She is staying there.
“He’s at the football game. She’s wondering what she should do, if she should be hiding or if she should go outside,” the caller said, per Johnson.
‘That woman’s daughter also called 911 and said, “Someone broke into my house … It’s like completely messed up,'” reported Johnson.
This comes not very long after Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce’s homes were broken into while they were playing in a Monday night game. Hopefully, something will be done to protect athletes soon.
