When he’s healthy, Cincinnati Bengals superstar quarterback Joe Burrow is one of the most dominant players in the entire league. And it sounds like he’s placing an extra emphasis on making sure he’s fully healthy this season.

Last season, Joe Burrow began the year hampered by a calf injury that severely limited his production even though he did play. Then, shortly after Burrow got to full health, he suffered a season-ending wrist injury during a game in early November. So when asked about his top priority this upcoming season, the answer was rather simple: stay on the field.

“Well, number one, I want to be on the field for all the games,” Burrow said, via Ben Felderstein of Complex.com. “I know I’m going to play well when I’m out there. I’m at that point in my career where I’ve seen enough ball and I know myself that I can go out there and play as well as anybody in the game. The biggest strides this year are going to be my body and learning how to get through the season, get through practices with my body, feeling tip, top shape. And so that’s the main focus for the offseason.”

Burrow has not had the best luck with injuries throughout his career. We’ll have to see if that finally changes this season.
