The Monday night game between the Chicago Bears and the New Orleans Saints couldn’t have gotten off to much of a worse start. The game featured two turnovers within the first two minutes of play.
Ball security has been a problem on both sides and even when the Saints were able to put together a semblance of a drive in the first quarter, it ended in folly when the Saints took the field to try a 51 yard field goal attempt.
The best thing about this busted play? It wouldn’t even count thanks to offsetting penalties. The Saints got a chance to re-do the down and missed the field goal the old fashioned way. We’re in for a long night by the looks of things.
