Ben Roethlisberger has always been considered a winner that happens to be a very good quarterback. Some have debated that his two Super Bowl crowns warrant an elite tag but as we have so eloquently learned with Joe Flacco, sometime it’s just about catching fire at the right time.
However, there’s not debating what Big Ben has done in 2014, specifically over his last two games. The 32-year-old veteran’s stats of 12 touchdowns and 862 yards have been gushed over by every sports media outlet in the country and although it’s borderline impossible to continue that torrid pace, they cannot be ignored by fantasy owners. Roethlisberger entered the season as a low-end QB1 but was mostly selected as a QB2 by conservative teams. With a visit to the Meadowlands to face the porous Jets defense, he deserves a spot in the top five of the Week 10 positional rankings.
