Not many non-Cowboys fans were cheering for them on Sunday night, just days after Deadspin released photos of the horrific injuries defensive end Greg Hardy inflicted on his former girlfriend. Dallas allowed Hardy to play against the Eagles in Week 9 and, despite him already missing 15 games in 2014 and four games in 2015, most were semi-surprised that the organization didn’t issue additional discipline upon release of the photos.
Playing their first game since the public saw the photos, Hardy and his team suffered their sixth-straight loss of 2015, an overtime defeat to Philadelphia that likely ended any chance of contending for a playoff spot.
Following the game, Eagles linemen Lane Johnson and Jason Kelce did not hold back in criticizing both Hardy’s play and his off-the-field behavior:
“I’m glad he didn’t have a good day. It’s a joke a guy like that is able to play this quickly.” @Jkelce #Eagles #Cowboys #Hardy

“3 people I have zero respect for in this world. People who hit women; who molest children; rapists.” @Jkelce #Eagles #Hardy #Cowboys — Marcus Hayes (@inkstainedretch) November 9, 2015
Lane Johnson on Greg Hardy: “I’ve faced better. … When things aren’t going well he’s a guy that shuts it down.” #Eagles
