The Miami Dolphins are floundering.
The Dolphins lost starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to a scary head injury early in the season, and have not been able to get things back on track since. On Monday night the Dolphins fell to 1-3 after a 31-12 blowout loss to the Tennesse Titans.
Stepping in for his first start as a Miami Dolphin, quarterback Tyler Huntley finished 14-of-22 for only 96 yards. According to Pro Football Talk, the Miami offense totaled only 184 yards, 13 first downs, and was 2-for-12 on third down.
The players in Maimi’s locker room know there has to be improvement.
Wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, who led the team with 36 receiving yards on Monday night, was honest with his assessment of the team after the game.
“Playmakers got to be playmakers. We have to be better than good when your starting quarterback is out,” Waddle said, per Pro Football Talk.
“We have to be extra open to clear it up for the quarterback. He’s new here. We just have to go out and make plays for him.”
The Dolphins will try to weather the storm until Tagovailoa returns to make sure their season isn’t already over by then. Their next chance to get back in the win column is against the New England Patriots.
