The Cleveland Browns cycled through four starting quarterbacks in an abysmal 3-14 season that landed them the second overall pick in the upcoming NFL draft. The first of those quarterbacks, Deshaun Watson, had his season cut short after rupturing his Achilles in an AFC North clash against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Unfortunately, Watson’s recovery process isn’t going quite according to plan, according to Pro Football Talk.
Per PFT, Browns general manager Andrew Berry held a press conference on Monday where he revealed to reporters that Watson he had a setback in his recovery process and that something “doesn’t feel right.”
“We don’t have all the details and everything yet, but it will obviously extend the recovery process for him,” Berry said in the press conference.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“Watson isnt playing another down in this league, he can take all the (time) he wants or needs lol,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Too busy vacationing instead of rehabbing lmao grifting the [expletive] out of Cleveland,” another fan wrote.
“he will be on the pup list for all of 2025 and we probably wont see him on the field again. incoming kirk cousins,” one fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see if Watson is ready to go by the start of next season.
