Derrick Henry has played his entire career with the Tennessee Titans after the team selected him in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. But with Henry set to become a free agent this offseason, his future with the team is quite a bit uncertain. But it sounds like he is still quite fond of the organization.
During a recent interview with Tennessee Titans reporter Jim Wyatt, Derrick Henry sent a pretty clear message about just how much the Titans have meant to him.
“I’ll see what happens. I’ve been with the Tennessee Titans my whole career. I love Tennessee – that’s all I’ve known. I love the fans,” Henry said. “First time being a free agent, so we’ll see what happens. Leave everything else up to God.”

The Titans will have a new head coach with Brian Callahan taking over after the team fired Mike Vrabel. And it sounds like Henry has already heard some good reviews.
“Heard some good things about him. Exciting times for the organization right now. Wish everybody all the best and wait to see what happens,” Henry said.
While Henry has not made a decision about his future, he did make it clear that it would be “special” to be able to play with the same franchise throughout his entire career.
“Any player would want to play with the organization that they started with their whole career. That’s a very unique and special situation for that to be able to happen,” Henry said.
“I’m just enjoying every single moment. Whenever it’s time to make a decision, we’ll do that. But right now, I’m just having fun and enjoying life.”
We’ll have to see what he ultimately decides.
