Tennessee Titans superstar running back Derrick Henry is entering into free agency this offseason, leaving his future in a state of flux. But there is at least one hint about where he might want to end up – a team that will contend for the Super Bowl.
During a recent appearance on the Bussin’ With the Boys podcast, Derrick Henry didn’t completely shut the door on a potential return to the Tennessee Titans next season, but he did make it clear that he wants to play somewhere that gives him the best shot of winning the Super Bowl.”
“I want to be somewhere that, whatever happens, that gives me the best shot of winning the Super Bowl,” Henry said on the podcast according to Pro Football Talk. “The business side is the business side. At the end of the day, it has to make sense. I’m not just going to accept anything because it’s a long season, we put our bodies through a lot. But at the same time, I definitely want to be on a roster that can go out there and put ourselves in position and be able to win games, get in the playoffs and contend for a ring.”
At this point in his career, Henry seems to just want a ring to cap off a legendary run through the NFL, and it’s hard to blame him.
