De’Anthony Thomas is really, really freaking fast.
The Oakland Raiders would learn this the hard way. With a couple of minutes left in the first quarter, the Raiders were forced to punt from their own 24. Marquette King got off a fantastic punt but it wouldn’t matter.
Thomas would blow by the few Raiders that were actually in front of him (most were late in their pursuit from the opposite side of the field) and he would score one of the easier 81 yard punt returns you’ll ever see.
It was also Thomas’s first career return touchdown.
De'Anthony Thomas gets his first NFL return TD. He goes 81 yards on the punt return. Chiefs lead Raiders, 7-0.
