The city of Dallas has seen a lot of success from its professional sports teams – that is, except for the Dallas Cowboys.

As Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk points out, Dallas has seen a lot of success from its MLB, NBA and NHL teams in recent years.

“The Rangers won their first World Series in October, beating the Arizona Diamondbacks,” Williams wrote for Pro Football Talk. “The Stars and Mavericks both clinched berths into their conference finals on Saturday.”

As Florio points out, all of those teams have won a league championship since the last time the Cowboys have even made it to the NFC Championship Game.

“The Cowboys, of course, have not played in the NFC Championship Game since 1995, which also was their last Super Bowl title. That was more than 10,300 days ago. Since then, the Mavericks have won an NBA title, the Stars a Stanley Cup and the Rangers a World Series,” Williams wrote.

Needless to say, it’s pretty brutal news for the Cowboys that they have become the least accomplished team in the city, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it online.

We’ll have to see whether or not the Cowboys are able to match the success of the other Dallas teams anytime soon.
