Superstar center Connor Williams is one of the free agents on the market right now regardless of position, but it doesn’t sound like he’ll be signing with a a team anytime soon due to a knee injury.
During a recent television interview with Miami television station WSVN, agent Drew Rosenhaus indicated that his client Connor Williams had a “pretty significant knee injury” and was currently focused on getting healthy, not necessarily finding a new team.
“So Connor had a pretty significant knee injury. Without getting into his private business, it was a significant knee injury,” Rosenhaus said in the TV interview according to Pro Football Talk.
“So, he’s taking his time with his rehab. I don’t think his immediate plan is to sign with the Dolphins or any team right now. I think he’s focused on his medical situation — getting healthy — and then see where he stands at that point. So, it’s not going to be any time soon that we see Connor Williams signing with an NFL team.”
It’s not clear when Williams will be ready to return to the field. But when he is able to return, he will be able to provide a big boost to a team needing help on the interior of the line.
