The San Francisco 49ers found themselves down 14-3 on Monday Night against the St. Louis Rams with less than half a minute to go in the first half.
The Niners were letting the play clock run and didn’t expend either of their two remaining timeouts. Perhaps that’s why the St. Louis Rams didn’t have anyone deep to prevent a deep bomb. The Niners appeared to be running out the clock. Or, at least, they appeared to be until Brandon Lloyd was able to get open with a slick double-move. Colin Kaepernick found Lloyd in stride and Lloyd would skip to the end zone. Janoris Jenkins definitely wishes that he could have this one back.
