The NFL has recently partnered with Bose and the league is already cracking down hard on anyone who dares to wear another brand’s headphones while they’re representing their teams.
These rules even apply if a player has an endorsement deal with another brand (like, say, Beats by Dre):
As Re/code reported, thanks to an NFL sponsorship with Bose, players and coaches are banned from sporting Beats headphones when the TV cameras are on, and for 90 minutes after that. The league’s deal supersedes any agreement the individual players or coaches have made.
Colin Kaepernick broke the NFL’s new Bose rules and was subsequently fined for it. How much did the Beats by Dre infraction cost Kaepernick when he wore the non-NFL sponsored headphones during his post-game press conference on Sunday? Ten thousand dollars.
Colin Kaepernick said he was fined $10K for wearing Beats by Dre after the game Sunday.

Hopefully, Kaepernick’s Beats by Dre endorsement deal more than makes up for it.
