Things are not going well for the Tennessee Titans.
The Titans dropped to 1-4 on the season after a loss to the Indianapolis Colts, and the players are starting to get sick of things. Star wide receiver Calvin Ridley sounded off after he finished the game without a single catch in Sunday’s loss to the Colts.
“I need some in the beginning of the [expletive] game too,” Ridley said, via ESPN.
“This [expletive] is getting crazy. I sucked today and got to do better. But I got to get the ball a little earlier so I can be in the game and here with the team and play well also.”
This comes after head coach Brian Callahan made it a point of emphasis to get Ridley the ball leading up to the game. Callahan talked about what happened in the Colts’ loss to the media.
“I’m sure he’ll be the first one to tell you it was disappointing,” Callahan said. “He’s one of our best players and we look to him to try and make a play or two and we didn’t get it done at the end of the game.”
The Titans don’t seem close to finding answers for this season, and their best bet may be to focus on retooling in the draft.
If the organization comes to this conclusion, it wouldn’t be a shock if they traded Ridley for draft capital, especially considering how many teams are desperate for receivers.
