In a borderline shocking turn of events, Denver Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak benched starter Brock Osweiler for Peyton Manning during their Week 17 tilt against the Chargers.
Osweiler wasn’t playing pathetically bad, completing 14 of 22 passes for 232 yards and one touchdown in two-plus quarters. He did, however, throw two interceptions and misfired on several throws, leading Kubiak to try Manning in the third quarter.
And, understandably, Osweiler appeared a little fussy:
