Although it appears the prosecution had a few holes in their case against Aaron Hernandez for the murder of Odin Lloyd, the former Patriots tight end had a lot of evidence stacked against him. The 12-person jury deliberated over seven days and obviously found that evidence to be enough to convict Hernandez of first degree murder and send him away to prison for the remainder of his life.
We may never know every single detail of what happened the night that Lloyd was killed but at least we have Hernandez’s former teammate Brandon Spikes to enlighten us. Spikes played with Hernandez at both Florida and with the Patriots and was clearly rooting for him to be found innocent, an opinion made even more evident by a interesting tweet on Wednesday.
Quite simply, Spikes is not buying that Hernandez is a murderer and he’s not buying the justice system either. While everyone is entitled to their own opinion, these comments appear to be very baseless and troubling:
IM CONFUSED ABOUT THE JUSTICE SYSTEM THESE DAYS !!!
