The Baltimore Ravens suffered a season-ending loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday afternoon, ending their postseason run in the AFC Championship game – just one step away from an appearance in the Super Bowl. And based on the way the game played out, it sounds like the team’s coaching staff is getting shouldered with most of the blame.

As ESPN analyst Mike Greenberg points out, the Baltimore Ravens only gave their running backs six carries in the game a week after the Kansas City Chiefs were gashed on the ground by the Buffalo Bills.

“The #Ravens running backs had 6 carries today. Against a team that allowed 182 rushing yards last week. For all the mistakes they made, that is probably the hardest to understand. #AFCChampionship,” Greenberg said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Without establishing the running game, the Ravens struggled to score, finishing the game with just 10 points.

As a result of this horrible mistake not to get the running backs more involved given the Chiefs’ weakness, the Ravens took a lot of heat on social media, with one fan calling the move “inexcusable.”

It certainly feels like a missed opportunity for the Ravens.
