Over the weekend, former United States President Donald Trump, now a convicted felon, made an appearance at the UFC 302 event to watch the fights. While Trump did receive an ovation from many of the event’s attendants, there was one prominent person who completely ignored Trump: New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

As political commentator Ron Filipkowsi pointed out on social media, when Donald Trump walked passed Aaron Rodgers ahead of the event, Rodgers remained seated and did not join the many others standing up to greet the former president.

“Aaron Rodgers remains in his seat and ignores Convicted Felon Trump as he walks by tonight at the UFC fight,” Filipkowsi said in a post X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Rodgers had recently expressed his displeasure with Trump during an appearance on a controversial podcast.

“Trump, okay, Trump’s an outsider, all the rhetoric, we’re going to drain a swamp and go after the corruption. And I don’t think a lot happened,” Rodgers said.

Rodgers’ biggest complaint with Trump was the way he followed the advice of Dr. Tony Fauci during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“And what I fault him for is Tony Fauci, because he is an establishment pharmacrat since he got in, and he’s been in forever, and he’s the highest paid government official. And he let, and not only did Trump push the vaccine, Operation Warp Speed, or whatever the [heck] it was, but he let Fauci stay in charge and shut the country down,” Rodgers said.

That is likely the reason Rodgers didn’t rush to greet Trump.
