The University of Miami will don these awesome ‘Military Appreciation Day’ alternate uniforms on November 7th when the Hurricanes take on Virginia.
The uniforms will come with a camouflage undershirt and gloves to give the outfit a proper military theme. The prominent use of black on the jersey is pretty sweet when paired with the deep orange accents on the lettering.
Adidas will also be making special cleats for the Hurricanes that get their inspiration from the military as well.
To complete the military homage, the Hurricanes will debut the new Delta Force inspired Dark Ops 2016 adizero 5-Star 5.0 x KEVLAR® and 2016 Freak x KEVLAR® cleats, constructed from a durable, flexible canvas – similar to military accessories and footwear.
Best of all, the Hurricanes’ Military Appreciation Day will help the Miami VA Fisher House. 1,000 free tickets will be given to members of the military and veterans and the game-worn outfits from the November 7th match will be auctioned off to benefit the Miami VA Healthcare System.
