Out of a collection of some of the best dunkers in college basketball, it would be DII competitor LaQuavius Cotton who would convincingly win the College Slam Dunk Contest.
Cotton didn’t just win the competition, he put together a show of feats that seemed to defy the laws of physics.
First, there was this dunk over Butler’s Alex Barlow where Cotton basically levitated to the basket.

And like many trilogies, Cotton’s second dunk was probably his best.

The final was only a bit of a letdown because Cotton’s opponent Keifer Sykes wasn’t able to successfully convert a dunk. However, even Cotton’s gimmie dunk was pretty awe-inspiring.
