On Friday’s season opener, Kansas Statae women’s basketball will be giving out free bacon to the first 1,000 fans to enter Bramlage Coliseum in an effort to put butts in the seats. At first getting little attention, the news of this promotion has since blown up according to The Kansas City Star, and in fact “the bacon giveaway has become so popular that K-State increased its initial bacon order from 100 pounds to 300 pounds this morning.” Having previously done free pizza and other food giveaways, K-State is ready to take things to the next level with this one.
