The UCLA-Arizona State college football rivalry does not rank very high on many nationwide radars but the Pac-12 contenders are turning their annual meeting into must-watch games.

The Bruins visited the Sun Devils on Thursday night in a top 15 matchup that no one is paying attention to. The winner of this game over the last two years has played in the Pac-12 title game and while we haven’t hit October yet, this is a massive tilt if either team wants to both win the conference and earn a spot in the College Football Playoff.

In an effort to add a little heat to this budding rivalry, an unknown UCLA player scratched ‘UCLA’ into Arizona State’s midfield logo during pregame warmups. While it remains unclear how or when it was done, it likely pissed off a lot of ASU fans.
