We all say dumb stuff on Twitter and other social from time to time. Really dumb stuff. And NBA players are not immune to this. To prove it, Redditor/intrepid investigator Jewishdoggy searched key words and some of the NBA’s biggest stars to find some regrettable tweets from days when today’s stars weren’t quite as popular. The one that stands out the most is Damian Lillard, who watched the 2011 NBA finals just like the rest of us: as a mere, non-millionaire mortal. Let’s see what Lillard had to say about LeBron James’ performance:
@KingJames talents to south beach? NIGGA!! You took the spotlight nd a ego. You left the talents haha. Them shits in Cleveland .

@KingJames I may have been one of yo biggest fans. But THIS series u played like a straight pussy. — Damian Lillard (@Dame_Lillard) June 13, 2011
@KingJames I don’t feel bad for yo fake focused ass, I feel bad for dwade, and MYSELF cuz I wanted it more than you. #damnshame
— Damian Lillard (@Dame_Lillard) June 13, 2011
@KingJames please get yo ass out of “too cool” mode and takeover . PLEASE nigga!!! Damn!!! — Damian Lillard (@Dame_Lillard) May 16, 2011
Of course, Damian Lillard isn’t the only athlete to say dumb stuff on Twitter. Surprisingly, the following tweets haven’t been deleted off Kevin Durant’s account, even though he’s notorious for doing so.
@Ant_Wright shutup fag boi i only went to college for a year and didnt pay attention in class at oak hill lol
— Kevin Durant (@KDTrey5) November 30, 2009
@LmoeBoogie how thas gay? smell jus like cocoa butter and i kno erybody put on cocao butter b4 — Kevin Durant (@KDTrey5) July 9, 2009
Then, there’s this bit of irony from Paul George.
@Alex1DaGreat lmao yea right bitch betta pay that child support haha
— Paul George (@Yg_Trece) April 3, 2010
Disgusted wit my team right now .. They don’t kno wat the fuck it means to work hard . They’re Bball players that don’t play Bball . WTF ! — Paul George (@Yg_Trece) October 10, 2009
There are a lot more screenshots of tweets here, including a bunch about Lil B, whom NBA players appear to be obsessed with (for some reason). All we gotta say is that Lillard had better hope this doesn’t get back to LeBron.
