Tristan Thompson has been big for Cleveland. After Kevin Love went down, the Cavaliers needed an inside presence if they stood any chance at beating the stingy Chicago Bulls. And that’s where Tristan Thompson came in.
Thompson has only been averaging 8.6 points but has been leading the Cavaliers with 10.0 boards a game on 60 percent shooting, mostly on putbacks and alley-oops from Lebron James, Kyrie Irving, and company. Don’t let the seemingly easy looks fool you though. He hustles and outworks everyone else for every point he scores.
The concentration it must have taken for him to catch the ball in midair, and still put it in while being turned around by the earthbound Mike Dunleavy is simply astounding.
