Yao Ming has spent a great deal of time in Africa recently and the adventure has been chronicled on HERE through a series of blog posts and accompanying photos. Yao was not there on vacation, but rather to drive awareness to Wild Aid’s mission ‘to end the illegal wildlife trade in our lifetimes by reducing demand through public awareness campaigns and providing comprehensive marine protection.’
Yao Ming travels to Africa for the first time to come face-to-face with some of the world’s most majestic species – the elephant and the rhino – and to document the poaching crisis these creatures are facing as a result of growing demand for rhino horn and ivory products.
We love every photo that features the extremely tall Yao, but we have chosen 10 favorites from his adventures in Africa which are too good to not share.
