Matt Barnes of the Los Angeles Clippers is not one of the more angelic players in the NBA, and on Wednesday night he carried on as he normally would. During the second quarter of the Clippers match-up with the Timberwolves, Matt Barnes didn’t appreciate a hard screen laid on him by Timberwolves center Greg Stiemsma. Barnes felt it would be appropriate to push Stiemsma’s neck which resulted in a flagrant two, an immediate ejection, and some heightened tension among the two teams.
Stiemsma shortly after received a flagrant foul himself for a hard foul on Grant Hill which lead to both teams exchanging some unkind looks and words.
