On Wednesday, the Washington Wizards unveiled the team’s new primary logo.
While the logo is largely similar to the team’s old “monument ball” design, the new outer border definitely gives the logo a more “political” feel with the prominent striping on the sides and the addition of the team name on the top and bottom of the logo. The three stars in the new logo apparently represent Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia.
In addition to the new logo, the Wizards announced that they would still use the “DC hands” logo but that the “Wizards” logo would be discontinued.
RIP Wizard, we hardly knew you.
