It happened this past Saturday but that doesn’t mean that it can’t be talked about halfway through this week. Shaquille O’Neal and his ex-wife, Shaunie threw a party for the ages. It wasn’t for them, it was for their daughter Mimi and her Sweet 16 party.

They pulled out all the stops and the eventual cost for the party amounted to nearly $1 million dollars. That is a lot of money to drop on a party. Then again, he did make $292 million during his playing days and is well known to invest in multiple businesses. Add that he is still working as an analyst for TNT, maybe I shouldn’t be judging how he spends his money.

The rapper YG performed at the party and Mimi was also given a Mercedes G-Wagon as part of her birthday. The lifestyles of the rich and famous are lavish but from the looks of this video, this is above and beyond that.

Good for Shaq and his family.
