Many experts and fans alike were shocked to see Nerlens Noel slip to #6 in the 2013 NBA Draft, but it appears that the young big man out of Kentucky is getting ready to use the misfortune as a motivator.
Noel plans to wear #5 with the Sixers, the number of teams who passed on making him a part of their franchise. (We’ll ignore the fact that it was technically six considering the Pelicans, who took Noel at #6, wound up trading him to Philadelphia.)
Pretty cool to see the kid already has a chip on his shoulder and is looking to prove the doubters wrong.
