Nene has been a dominant force in the Wizards’ surprising 2-0 series lead over the Bulls, and mostly at the expense of Joakim Noah, the newly crowned Defensive Player of the Year. With everything seemingly going the Wizards’ way this series, the last thing they needed was for their best player to get ejected for doing something stupid. Well, Nene did just that Friday night, grabbing Jimmy Butler by the neck — with both hands — and looking to do a lot more than that if cooler heads hadn’t prevailed. It remains to be seen how the league will handle the aftermath, but needless to say, not a good look for Nene.
Butler was assessed a technical foul as well.
