Matt Barnes is one of those players you hate to play against but love to have on your team. So it’s sort of perfect that the Grizzlies traded for him. He himself said that he epitomizes the “grit and grind” style that Memphis idealizes. But even though Barnes said that the Clippers are his enemy on the court, he wanted to set aside the time to thank the city of Los Angeles for his time there. Read his lengthy Instagram post if you have the time.
While we’re reminiscing back to when the Lakers were halfway decent, let’s think how many former-Lakers the Clippers signed. Barnes, Antawn Jamison, Jordan Farmar, now Wesley Johnson, and that’s not even the complete list. But seriously, Barnes served the city of Los Angeles well. And Kobe Bryant is NOT scared of Barnes.
