Reports are surfacing that New York Knicks president and general manager Steve Mills met with legendary NBA coach Phil Jackson two weeks ago about coaching the dreadful team. Shockingly the 11-time NBA Champion declined the offer to coach a completely dysfunctional roster that is completely capped out, has no draft picks and who’s one star can leave the team this summer. Mills had better be careful because while Phil may be done coaching, I could totally see him wanting to run a franchise à la Pat Riley. The woeful Knicks are 18 games under .500 and 5.5 games out of the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. I imagine that Phil’s reaction to the pitiful offer went something like this.
