Joel Embiid is one of the more intriguing storylines heading into tonight’s NBA Draft. The Kansas big man was projected by many to be the top pick this year before necessary foot surgery lowered his stock. Now, experts are predicting that he may fall out of the top five.

The Lakers pick seventh tonight and, barring a trade, they’d be very fortunate to see Embiid fall to their spot. So why the tweet, which was quickly deleted? Well, according to reports, Embiid said a friend posted the update from his phone.
It’s worth noting that Embiid probably wouldn’t mind if the claim ended up coming true.
