Athletes across all major sports have recognized the Sandy Hook tragedy in a multitude of ways, ranging from paying respects on game-worn gear, to personal statements on social media. Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah is no exception, weighing in over the weekend about the shooting that took the lives of 26 27 innocent people, including 20 children. After Chicago’s 80-71 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night, Noah told reporters he’s shelving his signature six-shooter routine he displays after made jump shots. Noah isn’t the only player in the league who is known for the animated move — it’s also a staple of Russell Westbrook’s celebratory repertoire — so it remains to be seen if other players will follow suit.

UPDATE: we erroneously reported that 27 innocent people were killed.
