Donald Sterling will do everyone a favor and drop his lawsuit against the NBA.
In addition, he won’t contest the sale of the Los Angeles Clippers to Steve Ballmer. This means that one of sports’ worst owners is all but vanquished from the NBA and (hopefully) from the public eye for good.

The speed with which this whole process has moved is remarkable and credit must be given to the NBA for acting swiftly, even if they largely turned a blind eye to Sterling’s transgressions in the past. Adam Silver has been very impressive as a sports commissioner so far.
What a world we live in where a racist slumlord making $2 billion in a sale is considered a win for humanity.
