Adam Davidson (Planet Money, New York Times) and Adam McKay (producer/director of Anchorman, Talladega Nights, and Step Brothers) present a teaser for the pilot episode of a new Gimlet show called Awesome Boring. It takes subjects that appear boring and convinces you they are actually awesome, hence the name Awesome Boring. The subject for their first show is free-throws, and their guest is none other than career 88 percent free-throw shooter Dirk Nowitzki.
I guess Mavericks fans have the Counting Crows to thank for Nowitzki’s success at the line over the years.
