It looks like Texas is treating Chris Paul just fine.
The Houston Rockets guard has purchased a mansion that is roughly 30 miles away from the Toyota Center. His new home is nearly 19,000 square feet and it also has 14 bathrooms and 9 bedrooms. That is an awful lot of space for a non-permanent home. He is definitely enjoying the Texas lifestyle.
The house is also on a Jack Nicklaus designed golf course within a gated community. The house was originally listed around $8 million. TMZ Sports is reporting that he was able to get a good deal on it and didn’t pay the original asking price.

Paul has made almost $200 million during his career so this is a drop in the bucket comparatively. As he continues to get into the groove of things with the Rockets, making sure that his home life is set is huge. The Rockets are going to be competing for both the conference and league championship and they can use all of the help they can get.
Who knows, maybe they’ll be celebrating in that home sooner rather than later.
