Jason Richardson announced that he would be retiring from the NBA on his Instagram on Wednesday. The veteran first burst onto the NBA scene in 2001 after being drafted by the Golden State Warriors with the fifth overall pick in the draft. In 13 seasons, Richardson averaged 17.1 points, 5 rebounds and 2.7 assists.
Still, as good of an NBA player as he was, Richardson will most likely be remembered for the monstrous dunks that he threw down in games and during Slam Dunk Contests. The NBA released a highlight clip of Richardson’s Dunk Contest feats and they still look as fresh as ever. Such is the power of J-Rich.
