Shane Battier has it pretty good these days. The Miami Heat forward doesn’t have much to do other than wreak havoc on defense, wait on the wings for wide open threes, and watch LeBron James be LeBron James. Oh, and drink Bud Light. During Miami’s 27-game winning streak, Battier revealed that he drinks a Bud Light before every game, and, considering the streak was the talk of the sports world in March, the folks at Anheuser-Busch took notice.
To reward Battier for brand loyalty, a Bud Light truck showed up to Battier’s Florida home and dropped off 1,100 cases, which translates to 26,400 cans (or $18,000 worth of beer). This will definitely come in handy in June when the Heat celebrate their second consecutive NBA Championship.
