The Toronto Blue Jays acquired third baseman Josh Donaldson from the Athletics last week in a trade that was borderline shocking to the baseball world. In return, Oakland received four players, including third baseman Brett Lawrie from Toronto. Although it was not stunning to see Billy Beane deal an established player for prospects, it was still odd timing for a team claiming they are not rebuilding. Most people felt like the Blue Jays got a phenomenal piece for a potential playoff push in 2015 and very, very, very few thought Oakland got the better end of the deal…including this poor 6-year-old.
