Rejoice Cubbies fans, your Chicago team has finally reached the World Series for the first time in a billion years and has a shot to win for the first time in a trillion years!
Unfortunately for the North Side faithful, that team is Jackie Robinson West and they’re playing for the Little League World Series crown, not the mystically unobtainable egg.
However, patrons at Wrigley Field today watched the U.S championship in the Wrigley Field concourses and proceeded to go ballistic when they advanced to the world championship against South Korea on Sunday.
